Tbilisi City Tour

Tour Overview
Discover the complete essence of Tbilisi on a comprehensive city tour that balances the cobblestone secrets of the old town with the grand avenues of the modern capital. Straddling the Mtkvari River and guarded by ancient fortress walls, Tbilisi has served as a cultural crossroads for over 1,500 years. This tour is designed to show you the city鈥檚 dramatic contrasts, taking you from 4th-century citadels and hidden canyons to imperial 19th-century boulevards and striking modern monuments.

What You Will See & Experience
Narikala Fortress & Aerial Cable Car: Kick off the tour with an exciting cable car ride from Rike Park, gliding high over the Mtkvari River. You will explore the ancient stone ramparts of the city's 4th-century citadel and enjoy the ultimate panoramic view of Tbilisi's sprawling skyline.

The Abanotubani Sulfur Baths: Walk into the historic brick-domed bath district, the exact site where Tbilisi was founded according to ancient legend. You'll marvel at the stunning, blue-mosaic facade of the Orbeliani Bathhouse, which resembles a miniature Persian palace.

The Hidden Leghvtakhevi Waterfall: Follow a winding wooden boardwalk through a cool, steep rocky canyon tucked directly behind the sulfur baths. The trail leads to a roaring 22-meter waterfall hidden right in the middle of the bustling capital.

The Clock Tower of Gabriadze Theatre: Pause for a photo in front of the whimsical, intentionally leaning clock tower built by legendary master puppeteer Rezo Gabriadze. If your timing is right, you'll see a mechanical angel strike the bell on the hour.

The Peace Bridge & Rike Park: Step out of the medieval past onto a striking, ultra-modern pedestrian footbridge covered in thousands of LED lights, symbolizing a glass walkway connecting old and new Tbilisi.

Rustaveli Avenue & Freedom Square: Shift gears into the imperial heart of the city. Walk along Tbilisi's grand central boulevard, lined with monumental architecture including the Parliament Building, the Opera and Ballet Theater, and the Rustaveli National Theater.

Holy Trinity Cathedral (Sameba): Visit the grandest modern religious monument in the Caucasus. Sitting prominently on Elia Hill, this colossal cathedral complex is one of the tallest Eastern Orthodox churches in the world and features stunning golden domes that dominate the city's evening horizon.

The Chronicles of Georgia: Drive slightly outside the city center to visit Georgia's monumental version of Stonehenge. Created by sculptor Zurab Tsereteli, this massive complex of 30-meter bronze pillars depicts kings, heroes, and biblical scenes, overlooking the vast "Tbilisi Sea" reservoir.

Shoti Bread & Wine Tasting: Duck into a traditional underground bakery to watch bakers slap canoe-shaped Shoti bread onto the inner clay walls of a roaring Tone oven, and visit a historic wine cellar to taste Georgia's iconic natural amber wines.
